50th Martyrdom Anniversary of Major Muhammad Akram Shaheed, Nishan-e-Haider

Do not say that those killed in Allah’s path are dead; they are alive, though you do not realize it.
(Al Baqarah)

Sacrificing one’s life is the ultimate honour one can be bestowed with. Nations are nurtured by the blood of martyrs and heroes. In order to pay homage to the valiant son of soil, who displayed unsurmountable courage, commitment, and dedication in defense of his motherland, a ceremony was held in Military College Jhelum at Yadgar e Shuhada, attended by the Faculty and Cadets. A floral wreath was laid by the Comdt MCJ, Brig Muhammad Saeed Anwar. A smartly turned-out contingent of cadets presented a salute to the great national hero and reading of citation by the Adjutant Capt Sajjad Baloch.
The day’s value is magnanimous as Maj Muhammad Akram Shaheed, NH is the only recipient of NH who belongs to this great Alma Mater. The complete day reminisced with the memory of all those especially Alamgirians who gave ultimate sacrifices for the defence of their motherland.
MCJ stands tall having produced such worthy sons of the soil. May Allah bless their souls at the highest pedestal of Jannah. May we imbibe their spirit and sacrifices for the motherland.
Long live Pakistan and MCJ.
