Military College Jhelum is a premier institution with a rich history of providing professional officers to Pakistan Armed Forces. It is a feeder institution to Pakistan Military Academy. The mission and objective of the College is to groom and educate the cadets, intellectually, morally and physically fostering requisite leadership qualities for rendering services to the Pak Army.
On 26th Nov 2022, Annual Parents Day was conducted in Military College Jhelum with full zeal and zest. DG HRD Maj Gen Tahir Gulzar Malik HI(M) graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. It is worth mentioning that the event was organized after 3 years due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The event started with the Drill parade. The cadets marched into the ground reflecting their drill and coordination skills. During the Drill event, Sir Syed House handed over the Champion House flag to the Aurangzeb House.
The young Alamgirians received immense appreciation from all corners for their mesmerizing performances in Drill, Rifle Exhibition Drill, PT, Karate, Gymnastics and Horse Riding. Chief Guest during his address highly appreciated the efforts of the cadets and the officers alike, who were in charge of the respective clubs. Besides the outdoor events, the cadets also participated in various indoor clubs proving their mettle in the Sciences club, Arts club, Computer club, and Archery club. Tributes to the Armed Forces and homage to martyrs were also paid in the form of National Songs. The Chief Guest distributed souvenirs, prizes, and house trophies among the position holders, faculty, and various winners of Inter-house and Inter-college competitions.
After the Prize Distribution Ceremony, the Chief Guest and the parents visited the various clubs and were highly impressed with the diversity of learning opportunities at Military College Jhelum. The Chief Guest also had group photos with the College faculty, College Appts, and OICs of all clubs. The Group Photos were followed by Lunch at Offrs Mess lawn and respective cadets’ messes which was further followed by Parent-Teacher Meeting at respective houses. The parents and teachers discussed the overall performance of their wards with the faculty proving to be a constructive interaction. Finally, the cadets were sent on leaves with their parents. The worthy guests left the College happy and satisfied with the arrangements and facilities.
